Upper Bheri Hydroelectronic Project (281 MW-PROR)
Upper Bheri Hydroelectronic Project is located in the Dolpa District of Karnali Pradesh of Nepal with an installed capacity of 281 MW. The catchment area at Intake is 4173 sq. km. with Design Discharge: 75 m 3 /s. A concrete Dam (gravity-free flow) will be built across the Thuli Bheri River. The crest elevation of the overflow dam will be at 1935masl and the height of the Dam will be 50m from the river bed.
The produced electricity will be connected to the national grid through a 220 kV transmission line at the substation at Jagdulla Hub which is located at 5 km approx. from the project site. The project is estimated to generate 1966 GWh of energy annually.
